Celebrating The Wind Waker HD by sheggy Celebrating The Wind Waker HD by sheggy
I have never played The Wind Waker because I never owned a gamecube. But now that I get to play it on the Wii U this fall, I am actually really excited. So out of hype I drew this. A simple design that I really love. This is actually my first time drawing something in this style and not an adult... I personally think it came out good

As in my followers? No clue, they pop in every once in a while.... They're not the most loyal group out there...

Well, as I said earlier, my group of watchers and followers are not the most loyal people out there. So yeah... but I got a nice amount of favorites from this deviation but nearly as much as the Aqua one.

Fall seems a little too far for me to wait. I have to last half a year without it. Im gonna have to ration my time between Pokemon XY as well as The Wind Waker...

I like it. ^^ It really looks very much like the game's style. ^__^
And I'm soooo looking forward to the HD version, too!

Why thank you very much. As do I! Many people don't like the way it looks. People say they look to Doll-like. I personally love it. Im not viewing it as just an HD upgrade of an art style. Im taking it as a completely new art style for a familiar game. I love the way it looks.

I must say I didn't like it as I saw it for the first time. Because it was too different from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. But then again I thought about my first Zelda game - A Link to the Past. And I saw that from there it had several ways to go - one of them towards Ocarina of Time, another towards Wind Waker. If Wind Waker came out next thing after A Link to the Past, I wouldn't have complained. After thinking about it that way, I saw it from another point of view and soon I loved it. It's soooo cute when an enemy dies and ... becomes clouds and dust, as if to say, well, it was a bad spirit, not a living thing that you just killed. Or when Link jumps onto a table or something, where some dishes are standing around, and they break under his feet - all these little details the game makers took the time to think about!

And then again, it's one of the really great things about Nintendo: They tend to look back to the beginnings before making a new game. Of course, there is something new every time, but they don't forget about where it all comes from - something we old fans can really be happy about.

I agree with everything. In SS when Link is dusting one of skylofts houses with the windtunnelofdoom thing, and all the dishes and vases and plates go flying off the table, it all just puts a smile on my face that says "wow, the game developers REALLY did put the time in to program that!"
